Back at it again!

After two years in Cambodia, I realize that I only managed to get one astrophoto! Endless clouds, rain and bad seeing in the heart of Phnom Penh (Bortle 8) made photographing more than challenging. The final month (December 2021) I finally got the Orion Nebula (M42). A target that is difficult for me to get at home since it lays so low in the south where I have a lot of obstructions.

But now I’m back in the observatory and going for it again! The latest target was the Hidden Galaxy (IC342), for me a very challenging target. It is faint and requires many hours of integration. I managed to get just over 22 hours of data and it will do for now.

You can find both targets (among others) in the page Astrophotography.
