Still learning a lot. This time I wanted to go for my first nebula – and I chose the Dumbbell Nebula.
Situated in the Milky Way, the region is completely packed with stars. But I managed to gather just over 5 hours of data (over four nights).
Post-processing is still difficult, the trick is to bring out what is in there, but to not overdo it. In this image, I tried to stay true to the real colors and just smoothen the background a bit to get a bit more clean sky.
